-Workshop on computational methods The final day of the EMCMR-3
Conference is divided into two parts: The morning
sessions consists of two lectures given by the Invited Speakers and a
short introduction to the density functional theory (DFT), plane wave code
Quantum ESPRESSO (http://www.Quantum-ESPRESSO.org/), that is
available to every one under the GNU Public License, together with a
flash review of its further capabilities (beyond DFT). In the afternoon
there will be hands-on session on the Quantum ESPRESSO code for students
interested in getting a first impression on it. As part of the hands-on
event tutorial material and exercises are sent to the partipants of it,
and afterwards a short report is required: The aim of this arrangement is
to enhance the amount of information and understanding the participants
will gain before, during and after this Special Event.
